Kobo Audiobook: The subscription for storytelling

Audiobooks are great companions to engage with the story of your choice. They make stories come to life through voice character portrayals and sometimes, vibrant sound effects. My favorite audiobooks are the ones read by a full cast. Audiobooks are perfect for many activities including walks, drives, dish duty, and quality time to bond through storytelling with those you care for. I listen to them while on a walk, while working, and as a mid-day breather.Audiobooks also keep my nightstand from tipping over from all the books I order.

How do you listen to audiobooks?

I can’t recommend Kobo enough. Kobo Audiobook is just a fantastic app for listening to audiobooks and they offer a 30-day free audiobook subscription trial. After your free trial, it’s only $9.99 USD per month for one monthly audiobook credit. If one credit is not enough for the month, you can top up with more audiobook credits. If you want to change things up for storytime with kids, you can claim your credit on a children’s audiobook! Some titles can cost between $30 and $50, but if you’re a subscriber, you save. And I love a bargain. You can choose an audiobook from their wide-ranging catalog, regardless of the list price. Need some suggestions? The Feminist Book Club community brainstormed a ton of audiobook faves for National Audiobook Month in June!

Kobo has a huge catalog of audiobooks, including best-sellers and originals- across all genres. Listen to adventurous tales and read along. You can also drift off to sleep while listening to a Kobo audiobook. The app has a sleep timer that stops the book after a predetermined time, so you don’t have to worry about losing your spot.

Best of all, your audiobook collection is yours forever, even if you cancel your subscription.

Many of the audiobooks are narrated by the author, adding that unique closeness to the story. Non-fiction, biography, and memoir audiobooks leave a more impactful and lasting impression, through discussions of life events, personal and professional tips, etc.
