TOWARDS LIBERATION SERIES

Read Language as Liberation by Toni Morrison with Feminist Book Club This year, we’ve been exploring a new way to Read & Resist through our Towards Liberation series. This series weaves together author Q&As, lectures, and discussion groups, all centered on creating meaning and driving actionable change in the world.

In 2025 we took a deep dive into Let This Radicalize You by Kelly Hayes and Mariame Kaba, Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler and Love In A F*cked Up World by Dean Spade.

This year we’re kicking off with a 5 week teach-in and reading series to dive into Language as Liberation: Reflections on the American Canon. Toni Morrison believed that the classroom was where language could still surprise, unsettle, and liberate. This series invites participants to read not for comfort or certainty, but for clarity, responsibility, and possibility.

    So much fun...

    I got such a beautifully curated package from Rah. I could just tell everything was placed with care. For a very moderate price that I chose, I received The Bandit Queens (reading currently), The Black Pill, tea, stickers, a pencil, and beautiful handmade cards with wax seals on the envelopes. Love in a package!

    I haven’t read the book yet, but all of the other items were good quality and I received the package pretty quickly. Highly recommend! (I got the $40 package and about 10 items including the book.)

    Great bundle. Love almost everything.

    So many fun items in this box. My only complaint is that I do not know what one of the items is. It's a semi translucent case with a fun saying on it (let's burn it all down!), but it's an odd shape and my rule-following brain does not want to make up its use for it until I can figure out what it's actually for, so I'm going to have to sit in mild distress until someone can tell me what it is. Love Feminist Book Club and everything they're about, but i would really like to know what this thing is. Otherwise 5/5.
