Executive Assistant

We Sparkle Co. and Feminist Book Club seek an Executive Assistant to support the growth and development of our two exciting startups. This person will have the opportunity to engage with the startup community in the Twin Cities while participating behind the scenes. We Sparkle Co. and Feminist Book Club are deeply committed to woman-owned and BIPOC-owned local businesses. Our dedication to these communities means much of our work overlaps, providing this unique opportunity for an executive assistant to contribute to both teams. Startups are exciting and ever-changing. We seek candidates who thrive on taking initiative, tackling new challenges, working on social justice issues, and supporting small businesses.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • + Calendar and email management
  • + Providing exceptional customer service
  • + QuickBooks management and expense reports
  • + Social media content creation, management, and moderation
  • + Drafting grant applications
  • + Identifying and contacting potential leads
  • + Creating social media graphics in Canva
  • + Assisting in ordering and fulfillment
  • + Website updates
  • + Maintaining records of meetings and key performance indicators
  • + Podcast management (off-air)
  • + Representing the brand at in-person events once safe


This is a full-time position with at least 35 hours per week expected with the majority of hours during standard business hours. Priority given to candidates located in the Twin Cities, though most work will be remote. Access to a personal vehicle is helpful but not required. Candidate must have their own computer. Blog Contributor

Feminist Book Club is the premiere feminist reading community online. In addition to our critically acclaimed subscription boxes and popular weekly podcast, FBC’s blog is well-loved and we’re looking for contributors who are passionate about intersectionality, gender, and literature.

The ideal contributor will be:

  • + An engaging writer
  • + Aware of their privilege and identity
  • + Passionate about reading diversely
  • + Dedicated to anti-racist work
  • + Eager to learn more and accept feedback
  • + Already active in online book communities and/or online social justice communities
  • + Self-motivated and exceptional with deadlines
  • + Familiar with Slack, WordPress, Google Drive, and Canva

Contributors will be responsible for at least two blog posts per month. One post must be a book review and the rest are up to the contributor’s discretion.

We ask for at least three months of commitment.

In exchange, contributors will receive:

  • + Feminist Book Club membership and subscription boxes for the duration of their blog contribution
  • + Advanced review copies of books upon request
  • + Personal bio and links on our Team page
  • + Behind-the-scenes access to Feminist Book Club and input in company decisions
  • + Opportunities to take over FBC’s social media (optional)
  • + Opportunities to interview authors (optional)
  • + Opportunities to record audio for our podcast (optional)

  4. 350 words sharing why you would make a great Feminist Book Club blog contributor
