FBC seeks contributors
Get paid to talk about books and social justice!
Feminist Book Club seeks 2-3 new voices to join our team as Content Contributors!
Contributors are expected to contribute 1-2 pieces of bookish and/or social justice-oriented content per month, whether in the form of podcast segments, videos, or written posts (we’re especially hungry for that last one!). These pieces of content would live in our private community.
This is a contract and remote position but the candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
Content contributors will communicate with the leadership team and other staff via our Slack workspace.
The ideal contributor will be:
- An engaging content creator
- Tech savvy
- Aware of their privilege and identity
- Passionate about reading diversely
- Dedicated to anti-racist work
- Eager to learn more and accept feedback
- Already active in online book communities and/or social justice communities
- Self-motivated and exceptional with deadlines
- Familiar with Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Canva
Compensation includes:
- $25 per written post or audio/video segment
- $20 per social media post
- $40 for moderating a live community event
- full membership to Feminist Book Club including monthly books and/or audiobooks and digital content (value of $35/month)
- discount to our FBC Members-Only shop
- one complimentary book or audiobook per month upon request
